3551989 - OS support for HANA Cockpit

Symptom

HANA Cockpit is based either on an existing HANA Database or if installed as own Server a light HANA Server is included and installed.

The SAP HANA cockpit supports the same distribution versions as SAP HANA 2.0, listed in SAP Note 2235581 (https://me.sap.com/notes/2235581), as long as the revision of SAP HANA included in the SAP HANA cockpit supports that distribution.  To determine the revision of SAP HANA included in the SAP HANA cockpit:

1. Open the “manifest” file in the installation media and search for the terms “stack-content: name="HDB"; vendor="sap.com"”.  The revision (i.e. version) number follows those terms.

An illustrative example:

In SAP HANA cockpit SP 11 PL 14 for Linux x64, the contents of the “manifest” file reveal that the version of SAP HANA that is included is revision 41:
stack-content: name="HDB"; vendor="sap.com"; version="[2.00.041]"; auxversion="[0000.00.0]"; platform="linuxx86_64";

2. The below list is maintained manually and will already show the included HANA Server Versions.
