3552055 - Email domain is treated with case sensitivity in LMS but not in Bizx and this is causing an unverified domain error in Learning

Symptom

Email domain is verified in Bizx however the domain contains small letters (abc.com) in Bizx. When you try to add Instructor email with domain in Caps (ABC.com) in LMS you receive an unverified domain warning. However, trying to verify the same domain (ABC.com) in caps in Bizx gives again you an error saying, 'Domain already exists'. Case sensitivity for domain is being considered in LMS but not in Bizx which is causing the issue

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  • Go to Bizx > Manage email notifications > Manage domains
  • Add domain ex: 'abc.com' and verify it
  • Enable email domain validation in Learning administration > Global application settings
  • Go to Learning administration > Instructors > Add email with domain ABC.COM
  • You will receive a warning
  • Go to Bizx > Manage email notifications > Manage domains >Add domain as ABC.COM
  • System will not allow adding it and says 'Domain already exists'

Resolution

Product Engineering is investigating a solution.

Workaround: Enter the email address in small letters (aligning with Bizx verified domain) and the warning will not appear
