Symptom

  • This article describes how to solve the issue with API Testing when SSL is configured for the given endpoint in API request

  • You are using https binding and have changed your endpoint by adding SSL. Sending an API Request returns a valid response and you are able to create an API TestCase. During the execution, Tosca throws the below mentioned error message:

    'The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel'

    Your IT - department has also verfied that the port 443 is open for inbound and outbound communication.
