Symptom
Sometimes, searching only for variables such as onboardingProcessId
may not be sufficient to identify the Job ID, which is required to retrigger or restart tasks that encountered errors or issues. What other approaches or criteria can I use to try to identify a possible Job ID?

Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to BPE: Monitor Processes.
- Try to filter by a Variable, (i.e. onboardingProcessID=123456789, userId=1234).
- You'll see there is an Unfinished task for the pending task.
- However, when you click on this task, there is no 'Job ID' under 'Jobs'.
Resolution
This KBA will present an alternative method to identify a Job ID. However, there may be tasks that do not present a Job ID to be restarted or retriggered. If, after following this article, you are still unable to identify it, consider opening a ticket with Support, referencing this KBA.
- In BPE: Monitor Processes, click on Filter and add the Variable as you are looking for, i.e. onboardingProcessID=123456789
- You'll see the referenced Unfinished Task (without Job ID), copy then the task's Start Time:
- With the Start Time copied, click on Filter option again and erase the Variable, here you can select "Started After" and select the same day as the task started:
- Expand the entries per page to 150 to make it easier to find:
- Then search for the Start Date with the Hour, Minutes and Seconds, you'll be able to find the other Unfinished task. In this example, we were able to identify the task with the Job ID:
