3552621 - Automatic Deletion of Vendor Master Bank Details After Address Change in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Customers have observed the following issues:

1. Bank Account Information Removal:

   • For a vendor, an address expiry was scheduled (e.g., 31.08.2024), and a new address was added to be valid from a future date (e.g., 01.09.2024).
   • On the date the new address becomes valid, the SAP system automatically removed the bank account information at a specific time (e.g., 03:07).

2. Frequent Logging of Supplier Details:

   • The system is frequently logging and updating the supplier details change log with nearly all historical data almost every day.

• Schedule an address expiry for a vendor and add a new address to be valid from a future date.
• Observe that on the date the new address becomes valid, the bank account information is removed by the system.
• View the "Display Supplier Detail Logs" and observe frequent logging of historical data.

• Expected Behavior: The SAP system is designed to clean the bank account details for a vendor when the associated address expires on the Business Partner (BP) side.
• Solution: To avoid unintended bank account removals, users need to manually reenter or update the bank account information after the address has expired. Scheduling both address changes and bank account updates simultaneously may also help mitigate the issue.

2.Frequent Logging of Supplier Details:

• Expected Behavior: It is by design that the SAP system continually logs and updates the change history for supplier details to maintain a comprehensive record of all changes.
• Solution: This behavior is intended for maintaining data integrity and traceability. If the frequency of logging needs adjustment, consider reaching out to SAP Support for potential configuration changes or feature enhancement requests.
