What permissions are needed by the LMS IAS Technical User?

• Please note this is an admin account located in the Users and Authorizations section of IAS which is needed for LMS IAS integration, not to be confused with an Admin or User account in the LMS. Usually in a format like "LMS IAS <LMS Tenant ID>".

To review the permissions of the LMS IAS Technical User, please proceed as below:

1. Access IAS >
2. Users and Authorizations >
3. Administrators >
4. Locate the LMS IAS Technical User you are using for your integration >
5. Add the permissions mentioned below.

In general the admin account in IAS needs all permissions except “Access Proxy System API” and “Access Identity Provisioning Tenant Admin API” which are optional:

Should you have any Sync issues, please ensure to add the below permissions to the technical user of your IAS target system

1. read users
2. access real-time provisioning API
