3552694 - Incorrect Sales Unit is determined in the Opportunity Creation screen and is copied from Sales Organization

Sales Unit is copied from Sales Organization and not from Employee Assignment in Organizational Structure in the Opportunity Creation screen

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Prerequisite: Sales Responsibilities are maintained.

1. Click on User Menu
2. Go to Settings
3. Click on All Settings Facet
4. Go to Opportunities
5. Go to Party Schema
6. Go to 44 - Sales Unit
7. Click on Show Determination Steps. Only 200 - From Employee Assignment in Organizational Structure (Source Party Role: Owner) and 300 - Copy from Sales Organization are active
8. Go to Settings
9. Go to All Settings
10. Go to Company
11. Go to Employees
12. Open the Employee
13. Go to Sales Data facet
14. Sales Responsibilities are maintained correctly.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to Navigation Menu
2. Go to Guided Selling
3. Click on + icon
4. Enter Account and Owner
5. Observation: Sales Unit is copied from Sales Organization and not from Employee Assignment in Organizational Structure

Entering Sales Responsibilities for Employee under Sales Data facet of the respective Employee is not equivalent to adding the User as Employee under the Sales Unit.

Make sure to add the User as an Employee under the respective Sales Unit.

1. Click on User Menu
2. Go to Settings
3. Click on All Settings Facet
4. Go to Company
5. Go to Organizational Structure
6. Open the desired Sales Unit
7. Go to Employees facet
8. Under Employees section, click on + and add the user as an Employee
