When inserting a SAC Model in an Excel worksheet, the technical name is displayed by default and it is not possible to change it.
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office
Resolution
This is by design and it is not possible to change it. The inserted SAC model will display only the technical name.
The same behavior is observed when inserting a SAC model in a SAC Story. Both SAC Analytics Cloud and Excel Add-in are supposed to have similar behaviors.
The SAC Model description is shown in the Builder pane:
