This behavior is indeed intentional. If you zoom in on the page, you will notice that the search box does not overlap with the Search component, as evidenced by the presence of a round border.

It is important to note that according to the system design, there is intentionally no space between the Search component and the areas displaying the "No jobs" text and the "Create alert" option.

Although the system doesn't support spaces between Search box and those text areas, you can always share this idea in our Community so it can be considered to become a future enhancement.
