3552844 - Error "Code with value FLVN01 already exists."

Symptom

Error "Code with value FLVN01 already exists." when trying to create Supplier role for Customer.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to Customers.
  3. Select Roles.
  4. Click "+" to create a new Role.
  5. Enter Code:"FLVN01" and Description: "Supplier".
  6. Click Create.
  7. Error Message "Code with value FLVN01 already exists. " appears.

Cause

The internal supplier code FLVN01 is reserved for the "Supplier" Role only used in the ESM application.

Resolution

To resolve this, it is necessary to create a new custom role under Customers > Roles. This custom role will then be available under Internal Code for value mapping, allowing you to link it to the external code FLVN01 or any other code coming from External Systems.
