3553256 - Understanding the Recurrence Pattern of Job Scheduler in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• When scheduling a recurring Manage Posting Periods job in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the recurrence pattern shows "Single Run" in the job details.
• This behavior is observed even when the job is intended to be scheduled for multiple runs.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Navigate to Manage Posting Periods - Cost Accounting app.
2. Click on Schedule Job.
3. Fill in parameters to schedule a recurring job.
4. Once the job has been scheduled, click on "Display Scheduled Jobs".
5. Access the created job.
6. The recurrence pattern shows "Single Run".

The recurrence pattern shows "Single Run" and automatically schedules another single run job for the following month once the previous has been run.

The system schedules a single run every month once the previous run has been completed and so, will show "Recurrence Pattern: Single Run" for each month.

Example:

• The first occurrence is scheduled to run at 8 AM on January 1st 2025 (01/01/2025). Once this job has completed, the system will automatically schedule another single run for the following month (01/02/2025).
• The second occurrence then runs on 01/02/2025 and the system will automatically schedule the next single run job for 01/03/2025.
• This single run repetition runs until the defined last run date from the scheduling parameters, which in this case is 01/03/2025.
• Once the final run has completed, the system will not schedule another single run job for the following month.
