3553323 - SAP HANA Backup Catalog Access Fails with Memory Allocation Errors

Symptom

  1. Error message:
    SAP DBTech JDBC: [4]: cannot allocate enough memory: Allocation failed $REASON
    or
    Error: (dberror) [2]: general error: Backup error: Allocation failed; $failure_type$=STATEMENT_MEMORY_LIMIT.

  2. Unable to access the SAP HANA backup catalog or delete old backups due to memory errors.

  3. Backup filesystem shows full utilization, preventing further operations.

  4. Rebuilding the backup catalog fails with errors such as:
    Invalid value <4096> for file size, expected at least 888832.
