3553336 - How to use the feature "Assisted Skill Recommendations Using Continuous Performance Management Data"

The feature "AI-Assisted Skill Recommendations from Continuous Performance" can recommend skills to employees based on the employee's interaction in Continuous Performance Management. This knowledge base article provides necessary information on the configuration needed to enable this feature.

SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub

Prerequisites:

• You've purchased the AI units. For more information, please contact your Account Executive.
• You've upgraded to Talent Intelligence Hub.
• You've enabled the Growth Portfolio.
• You've enabled Continuous Performance Management
• You've enabled the Assisted Skill Recommendations Using Continuous Performance Management Data setting in the AI Services Administration page.
• You have granted the users the permission below:
  - User > Miscellaneous Permissions > MDFEventsConfig  > Edit permission.
  - User > Miscellaneous Permissions > MDFPicklistEventsConfig > Edit permission.
  - User Permissions > Growth Portfolio > Edit Portfolio permission.
  - User > AI Access > Assisted Skill Recommendations Using Continuous Performance Management Data permission.

Note: Disabling the "Assisted Skill Recommendations Using Continuous Performance Management Data" setting will remove the "Assisted Skill Recommendations Using Continuous Performance Management Data" permission from the RPB so you will need to grant this permission to the users again.

Note II: Ensure that you've enabled the MDFEventsConfig Edit and MDFPicklistEventsConfig Edit role-based permissions before enabling the Assisted Skill Recommendations Using Continuous Performance Management Data setting.

After this users can create activities on the Continuous Performance Management and the system will recommend them skills based on this data, if there is no skill related to that activity the system will create a skill and it will be added to the Attributes Library with an Inferred status. Administrators can confirm the skills that are important for organizational use. To confirm the skills, administrators can run the Update Inferred Skills to Confirmed job. 

How to run the job "Update Inferred Skills to Confirmed job" to confirm the Inferred Skills:

1. Go to Scheduled Job Manager
2. Go to Job Scheduler > Create Job Request
3. Create a Job with the Job type "Update Inferred Skills to Confirmed"
4. Run the job created to update the status of the Skills to "Confirmed"
