3553422 - Cancel Button Does Not Work If You Input an IBAN Longer Than 34 Characters

Symptom

Cancel button of the Payment quick create will not work if an IBAN of 34 characters or more is added.

Environment

SAP Cloud For Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open any individual customer.
  2. Go to utilities payment data tab.
  3. New bank data.
  4. On IBAN field, add a IBAN longer than 34 digits.
  5. Error message now is given when saving.
  6. Close the tab by clicking the X button.
  7. New bank data cannot be opened.

Cause

It is the expected system behavior that the cancel button will not work while an error is visible in the IBAN payment addition.

Closing the tab via the X button will cause the new button to not work, and a refresh will be needed.

Resolution

Clear the IBAN field to remove the error message, and the cancel button will once again work, allowing you to close the create screen.

An influence request can be raised to request a change in this behavior, please verify the See Also section for a KBA explaining the process.
