3553689 - subReferenceUserID does not accept any values when adding Higher Duty/Temporary Assignment - Employee Central

Symptom

  • When adding a Higher Duty/Temporary Assignment for an employee, the field 'subReferenceUserID' does not accept any values, preventing the completion of the process

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Employee profile of a specific employee.
  2. Navigate to Action and click on 'Add: Higher Duty/Temporary Assignment'.
  3. Under the section 'Higher Duty or Temporary Assignment Details', enter a user id in the field 'subReferenceUserID' (this field could be renamed on the customer instance).
  4. No search results are displayed to select from

Cause

Expected behavior

Resolution

The 'subReferenceUserID' field is populated from the backend and should not be populated via UI. Therefore, this field can be marked as non-mandatory.

The backend code will manage this, and it should not be populated from the UI screen.
