3553952 - How-to: Resolve error 2581 invalid index ID from catalog consistency check in a HANA database

Symptom

  • The catalog consistency check returns the following error: 
    • "invalid index ID - [table oid=XXXXXXXXX, index oid=XXXXXXXXX, expected index ID=-X, stored index ID=X]" which is the primary key of the table.
  • The OSS note #2116157 for error #2581 recommends "CALL CHECK_CATALOG('REPAIR_DEPENDENCY', NULL, NULL, NULL)" but this does not resolve the issue.
