3554375 - "The SFTP connection failed" error occurs when Scheduling Change Audit Report

• Scheduling a recurring change audit report to an SFTP results in the error: "The SFTP Connection Failed"
• The error message is displayed even after multiple attempts at different time intervals.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core

1. Go to Change Audit Report tool. 
2. Select a change audit you want to schedule and set it as Recurring.
3. On the Destination, choose Secure File Transfer Protocol for the method.
4. Enter the SFTP details.  
5. "The SFTP Connection Failed" error message appears.

Destination fields for the SFTP connection are not filled properly. This results in a connection failure.

1. When using your own SFTP with Integration Center, the necessary IP addresses must be added to the allow list. To find the required IP addresses, please refer to KBA 2395508. 
2. Verify that all SFTP connection fields are accurately configured by referring to the Help Guide: Configuring SFTP Settings for a Recurring Change Audit Report. 
3. Please also ensure the file path and the file name in the SFTP are correct. The file path should start with "/" (example: /incoming/filename), and then test the connection.

Notes:

• When adding the "Host Address" remove the https:// from the URL.
  • Example: Instead of using https://sftp19.sapsf.com  use just sftp19.sapsf.com
