3554894 - Procurement proposals generated by MRP has no connection with WBS element

After executing the MRP for a material, the procurement proposals will be created in the net-segment of the planning without assigning them to project stock.

1. Create a project material demand using "Manage Project Demand app" with demand type "Project Stock, Reservation".
2. Check the Stock/Requirement list
3. Procurement proposals has no connection with WBS element.

MRP live planning currently does not support the planning of manual reservations in a project segment (project stock reservations) effectively.

This limitation is mentioned in release restriction note 3450904 for SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2408, specifically in the chapter related to Project System / Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management.

• The reservation getting generated from Project Demand Type "Project Stock, Reservation" (App ID: F4562) is not relevant for MRP. There are no requirements generated for this reservation after MRP run. 

Due to this limitation, it is not possible to plan appropriate project stock reservations using MRP live in CE2408.

Unfortunately the current system behavior is not completely reflected by this statement as right now the MRP live planning considers appropriate reservations as relevant but ignores their assignments to project stock. Based on that procurement proposals will be created in the net-segment of the planning w/o assigning them to project stock.

The development team is currently working on resolving the issue with release 2502.

This release is expected to be accessible to customers in February 2025.
