When publishing a custom business object in app Custom Business Objects, error "Business object could not be published because of conflicts." occurs. 

OR

When opening a custom business object in app Custom Business Objects, error "The field identifier "Item Category" of node "SDITEMCATEG_PLANT" contains invalid characters.".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

One possible reason is that there are spaces in field identifier like "Item Category".

Modify the field identifier "Item Category" to "ItemCategory" and then republish the custom business object.
