3554919 - The error "No audit areas registered for policy category RST of ILM object" message no. CVP_DP_ILM014 is raised in the Block Master Data - Business Partners app

Symptom

  • While running the Block Master Data - Business Partners error "No audit areas registered for policy category RST of ILM object FI_ACCPAYB" Message No. CVP_DP_ILM014 is raised.
  • While running the Block Master Data - Business Partners error "No audit areas registered for policy category RST of ILM object FI_ACCRECV" Message No. CVP_DP_ILM014 is raised.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Block Master Data Business Partner app.
  2. Fill the business partner details.
  3. Choose Execute.
  4. The error "No audit areas registered for policy category RST of ILM object FI_ACCPAYB" or "No audit areas registered for policy category RST of ILM object FI_ACCRECV" is raised.

Cause

  • The BP to be blocked has customer role and the ILM object FI_ACCRECV has not been registered.
  • The BP to be blocked has supplier role and the ILM object FI_ACCPAYB has not been registered.

Resolution

Steps to maintain ILM Policies:

  1. Open 'Manage Your Solution' app.
  2. Navigate to 'Configure Your Solution'.
  3. Choose configuration activity '106661 - Assign ILM Object to audit area'.
  4. Assign ILM object to Audit area and mark it as Active.
  5. Choose configuration activity '106666  - Maintain ILM Policies and Rules'.
  6. Select the Audit area & ILM Policy.
  7. Create Policy Conditions and Rules.
  8. Set the policy to live.
  9. Save the changes.

Incase while using SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC) :

  1. Log on to the project experience in SAP Central Business Configuration.
  2. Select the relevant project.
  3. Navigate to the configurations activity tab. 
  4. Choose configuration activity '106661 - Assign ILM Object to audit area'.
  5. Assign ILM object to Audit area and mark it as Active.
  6. Choose configuration activity '106666  - Maintain ILM Policies and Rules'.
  7. Select the Audit area & ILM Policy.
  8. Create Policy Conditions and Rules.
  9. Set the policy to live.
  10. Save the changes.
