3555246 - Account With Sales Data 'Marked for Deletion' Is Determined in Target Group

Symptom

You are working with target groups member determination; you set up a condition that looks into sales data of accounts and accounts with said sales data flagged as 'marked for deletion' are determined inside your target group.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales Campaign work center
  2. Select the view Target groups
  3. Click in + icon to create a new target group;
  4. Flag 'member determination' and select sales organization ABC (where ABC is a sales organization)
  5. Click in the Save and open button
  6. Click in 'Add' in conditions for accounts
    1. Sales organization: ABC
  7. Click in the Add button
  8. Select the condition and click in the ok
  9. Edit the target group
  10. Click in 'immediately' flag to schedule it immediately
  11. Save it
  12. Actions -> Activate
  13. After 'finished successfully' (hidden header field that can be added via personalization) click to check the members tab
  14. Customer DEF will be there ; (where DEF is an account that in its sales data you will see that the is 'marked for deletion')

Cause

Though ABC is marked for deletion, it is able to be used for determination of members of target groups.

Resolution

This is the system current standard behavior. A sales data which is set to 'Marked for deletion' doesn't mean it is deleted or obsolete. It can be still used in Activities, Target groups etc.
