Symptom

The LinkedIn hyperlink can be added via a User Information block on the full people profile.

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enable field via BCUI > Employee Profile.
  2. Add the field to User Information Block via Configure Latest People Profile.
  3. Observe the link appears on the profile.
  5. It redirects to a generic URL to LinkedIn website.

Cause

Working by design.

Resolution

This field is designed to enable end-users to navigate directly to LinkedIn website, however does not set up specific integration to each users' profile. This is a system limitation.

Product Engineering this field will be deprecated tentatively in 2H2026.
