• An error occurs when attempting to post a job requisition.
• The error message states: "Provide a value for the xxx field on the job requisition to publish it."

1. Attempt to post a job requisition.
2. An error occurs "Provide a value for the xxx field on the job requisition to publish it."

The City, State and Country/Region are mandatory for Real-time Job Sync between Recruiting Marketing (RMK) and Recruiting Management (RCM). 

These fields are mapped through 'Setup Recruiting Marketing Job Field Mapping'. If any of these fields are not filled, the system will not allow the job to be published.

Possible causes:

1. The required field(s) for job posting are left blank.
2. Wrong field(s) have been mapped in the 'Setup Recruiting Marketing Job Field Mapping' page.

Please fill in the fields in the job requisition page.

If the fields mentioned in the error message are already filled in or cannot be found on the job requisition page, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Step 1 Review the RMK-RCM field mappings:

1. Go to Admin Center > Setup Recruiting Marketing Job Field Mapping
2. Select the Job Requisition Template
3. Check if the correct RCM fields are mapped to the following RMK fields: 
   • City
   • State
   • Country/Region

There may be a situation where multiple fields have the same field label. To check the Field ID for the field mapped, use the workaround provided in the KBA 3555316 - How to Identify the Exact Job Requisition Field ID on the 'Setup Recruiting Marketing Job Field Mapping' Page - Recruiting.

If the mapped fields are incorrect or if the fields have changed, update the field mappings based on the fields being used.

Note: For the transition of field mapping from an old field to a new field, it is important to ensure that values are maintained in the new fields for all job requisitions, as this will impact existing job postings. If there is a need to update an existing job posting after changing the field mapping, it will be necessary to repost it.

Step 2 Provide write permission to the mapped fields:
