Symptom
- The Functional Area's dropdown is empty when trying to define a custom MDF as containing sensitive personal data for a given module.
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
SAP SuccessFactors Metadata Framework
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Configure Object Definition
- Click on Create New dropdown and create a Legislatively Sensitive Data Configuration
- After selecting the MDF object to be configured and selecting one Module Name (ex. Employee Central), it is found Functional Area dropdown is empty
Cause
If the Module Name Employee Central has no Functional Area available, the issue arises when the DRTM Employee Central is not upgraded in the Upgrade Center. This prevents the display of the corresponding Functional Area in the Module Name of Employee Central.
And it is same for other Module Names. For example, if you would like to enable Functional Area for Dynamic Teams, you need to upgrade DRMT Dynamic Teams in Upgrade Center.
Resolution
Go to Upgrade Center and upgrade the DRTM feature for the specific Module Name.
