3555390 - How to find the change log of software Collections in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

• There is a requirement to find and review the change logs of software collections in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• There is a requirement to display the change logs of the customizing transports that have been previously imported.

The Collection Import Change Logs app can be used to find the change logs of the collections

To display the change logs for customizing transports that have been previously imported, refer to the help document Working in the Collection Import Change Logs App > Process Steps

Important Notes:

• Change logs are available only for software collections that have been imported and are of the type Customizing.
• For software collections of the type Key User Extensibility, fetching change logs using the Collection Import Change Logs app is not supported.

Instead, for Key User Extensibility collections, use the Extensibility Inventory app to check the change history of individual items.
Steps:

• Open the Extensibility Inventory app.
• Search for the relevant item included in the collection (for example: YY1_XXX).
• Open the item and navigate to the Change History tab to view the change details.

Additional Information:

• The Export Customizing Transports and Import Collection apps also provide access to change log data (under Notes and Import History sections).
• The Business Configuration Local Settings Change Logs app displays change logs for configuration activities classified as Local Settings, this app is particularly useful in the production system to check when and what kind of data was changed and by whom.
