3555668 - Not able to Report on Standard field "mdfSystemCreatedBy" in Story reporting

Symptom

Standard field "mdfSystemCreatedBy"is not available for reporting in MDF object.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

  • Analytics & Reporting (Ad Hoc, YouCalc, ORD)
    • Story reports
      • Data Modelling - Module & Entity Data Issues

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new Story report
  2. Select MDF object
  3. Search for the field mdfSystemCreatedBy, can see it is not available

Resolution

Check under Configure Object Definition to see if the field is set to Not Visible. If it is, update the Visibility. After making the field visible, if it still does not appear, please follow the steps below.
  1. Manage Data -> report object configuration entity
  2. Search for the custom MDF object
  3. Check if the field is listed under Fields List section
  4. If it is not available Take Action -> Make Correction and add the missing field
  5. Now if you try to create new Story report this field mdfSystemCreatedBy will be available for reporting.
