Symptom

  • The Submit button is disabled when trying to complete the Add: Higher Duty/Temporary Assignment action in the Employee Profile.
  • An application error occurs, with fingerprint=101024e482f09e505b51698efbe86ad78bf42160

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to: Employee Profile
  2. Actions > Add: Higher Duty/Temporary Assignment
  3. Continue until the Submit section

Cause

This error is caused due to missing the "company" field in the HRIS Element employmentInfo.

Resolution

Enable and configure the company field in Manage Business Configuration > Employee Central > HRIS Elements > employmentInfo

After adding the company field, update the permissions for that field. You can do this in Manage Permission Roles >  Permission > User Permissions > Employee Data > Employment Details.
