3556126 - BTP Cloud Foundry App Restage Issue due to server.xml File

Symptom

  • An app on BTP Cloud Foundry could not be restaged, which seemed to be related to Tomee7.
  • The app was functioning before but failed to start due to issues with the server.xml file from Tomcat.
  • Error message: "Unable to load server configuration from [/home/vcap/app/META-INF/.sap_java_buildpack/tomee7/conf/server.xml]"
  • Error message: "Begin event threw exception", "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sap.xs.statistics.tomcat.valve.RequestTracingValve"
