3556192 - Configuration activity Define Withholding Tax Type for Invoice Posting (104225) missing in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The issue pertains to the inability to find the configuration activity 104225 - Define Withholding Tax Type for Invoice Posting in the system to configure the withholding tax setup.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

In 2SL system:

1. Navigate to the "Manage Your Solution".
2. Select the application area: Finance.
3. Choose the sub-application area: Statutory reporting.
4. Attempt to access Withholding tax: configuration activity 104225, description: Define Withholding Tax Type for Invoice Posting.

In 3SL system:

1. Open the CBC system.
2. Select the respective Workspace.
3. Navigate to Configuration Activity.
4. Attempt to access Withholding tax: configuration activity 104225, description: Define Withholding Tax Type for Invoice Posting.

The issue arises from the configuration settings of the system.

Follow below steps for maintaining in Manage Your Solution app:

1. Log onto "Manage Your Solution" using the BPC_EXPERT role.
2. Ensure that the required country is selected on "Manage Your Solution" country version.
3. Open the configuration activity "Check Withholding Tax Countries/Regions" (ID: 104768).
4. Choose "Configure" for this configuration activity.
5. Verify if the withholding tax is already activated for the same country, after which the settings will be displayed. If the country is not available, add the country.
6. To create a new entry, click "New Entries", and enter the country/region key and the relevant withholding tax country/region key.
7. Choose "Save".

In case of SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC):

1. Log on to the SAP Central Business Configuration.
2. Select the relevant Workspace.
3. Navigate to the configurations activity tab. 
4. Open the "Check Withholding Tax Countries/Regions" (ID: 104768) activity. 
5. Verify if the withholding tax is already activated for the same country, after which the settings will be displayed. If the country is not available, add the country.
6. To add the country, click "New Entries", and enter the country/region key and the relevant withholding tax country/region key.
7. Choose "Save".

Note: This setting is country dependent. Check in SAP Best Practices for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, select the version and country/region, select implementation tab in Accelerators section, and download attached file "Configuration apps". 'SSCUI 104225' is available only in countries: BR, ES, ID, IN, IT, JP, MX, PH, PT, SG, TH, TR.
