3556197 - Credit check is not performed after modification of the sales order

Symptom

The customer credit master data was not maintained before the creation of the sales order, and after the customer master data was assigned to credit management role the sales order was modified. The credit was not re-checked on the sales order after modification.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Initially the customer did not maintain credit master data
  2. Create a sales order, this time the sales order has no credit check
  3. Customer master data Maintain credit master data
  4. Modify the sales order, at this time the credit should be rechecked, but it was not checked

Cause

During creation of the sales order there is no credit risk class maintained and therefor not stored in the order. There is no update on risk class in the order after creation, so it takes the initial value for further check relevance determination.

Resolution

  1. Maintain in configuration activity "Define Automatic Credit Control" a credit check for empty risk class.
  2. Use job template "Check Credit on SD Documents" to schedule a re-check of documents from Sales and Distribution (SD).
