3556340 - Allowing Task Modifications Despite Completed Status

Symptom

The user can make changes in Task even though the status is set to "Completed".

 
 

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Menu.
  2. Select Activity Manager.
  3. Open a task that has a "Completed" status in detail view.

The user will be able to make changes to fields within the task, even though it is marked as "Completed".

Cause

This is expected system behaviour.

Resolution

This is the expected behavior of the system. Tasks marked as "Completed" can be reverted to an "In Process" state, as this functionality is part of the feature.
There are no restrictions on making such changes.

However, once a task is changed to a "Canceled" state, it cannot be reverted, and no fields can be edited in a "canceled" state.
