Symptom
- Job Information and Organisational Information subtitle on Employment Information page not translating.
- Subtitle has no English Debug value. Translations are defined in the Succession Data Model.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors - Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
-
Navigate to the Employment Information of an employee.
-
In the Job Information Portlet or Organisational Information, the sub-title Job Information is not translated.
Cause
The translations have to be set for id="jobFieldsList"
and id="orgFieldsList"
respectively, for each country in the Country-Specific-Field Data Model.
When a user's data is associated with a country, that country is defined in the country-specific data model and uses country-specific fields for job information. The system pulls translations for elements such as employmentinfo
from the CSF data model.
Resolution
- Navigate to BCUI.
- Select jobinfo > take action > make correct.
- For one field from the jobInfo_jobFieldsList section (e.g. job classification), click on the card next to the section.
- Click on the translation label.
- Add your translations and click done.
- Make a dummy change (e.g. edit a field label) and save. This ensures that the configuration changes sync with the Data Model (DM).
- Revert your dummy change and save.
- Go to BCUI > jobinfo_NLD(EXAMPLE) and verify if the translations have been applied to the same sections in jobInfo_jobFieldsList.
- If the translations have been applied, the issue is resolved. If not, repeat the same process in job info global and check all the Country-Specific Format (CSF) job info.
