Symptom
- When setting display preferences to 'Last Name, First Name', the candidate name sort preference works correctly for external candidates but not for internal candidates.
- For internal candidates, the system always sorts by the first letter of the first name, not the last name.

Reproducing the Issue
- Recruiting > Preferences > My Display Preferences
- Set the Candidate Name Sort Preference to "First Name, Last Name"
- See the applicant list sort is correct
- Change the Candidate Name Sort Preference to "Last Name, First Name"
- Notice the external candidates are all sorted correctly, but internal candidates are not.
Cause
The issue is identified as a defect by engineering team.
Resolution
