3557161 - How to import Outdated customizing type of transport request to test system and production system?

• Customizing type of transport requests were exported from system version N (release at export is 2308). After the system was upgraded to version N+2(Version 2408), these transport requests are marked as 'Outdated'. Is it possible to import these outdated customizing type of transport requests into the test and production systems?

To import an 'Outdated' customizing transport request into the test and production systems, you need to create a replacement transport for your outdated customizing transports.

Steps to follow:

• Logon to the customizing tenant of your development system
• Open the Export Customizing Transports app and create a new Customizing Request
• Logon to the customizing tenant using ABAP Development Tools
  1. Open the Transport Organizer View
  2. Select system and open the context menu (right click)
  3. Select 'Open Transport Request or Task' and give the transport request number
  4. In the 'Objects' section of the transport request select the request and open the context menu (right click) again
  5. Select 'Include Objects > Add Objects from Request and give one of the transport requests that are outdated.
  6. Repeat the same with all outdated transport requests
• Go back to the Export Customizing Transports app and release the transport request
• Import the transport to your test system and forward it to production system
• Import the transport to your production system.

Note : You can't import a transport created on release n into release n+2 and higher, which means that you have to recreate the transport in the development system. However, it is not possible to recreate CBC transports. In this case, you have to create a support incident.
