3557201 - Test Automation Tool's Test Plan Execution Gets Stuck Due to Issues with Business User or Roles

The execution of the Test Automation Tool's Test Plan fails to progress or gets stuck. The issue may occur during the execution of test processes in the "Test Your Processes" app, especially when roles or business users are not correctly configured or maintained.

1. Check Business User:
   Ensure that the business user defined as the default role in the "Maintain Roles" section exists in the system. If the user does not exist, create or update it.
2. Login Mechanism:
   Verify that a supported login mechanism is used. If a non-SAP IDP is configured as the default login, switch to an SAP-supported IDP as the default login method. The Test Automation Tool does not support non-SAP IDPs.
3. Default Role Configuration:
   Make sure that default role is correctly maintained in the system. This is crucial for the execution of most test processes. If the default role is missing, execution will not progress.
4. Check Role Status:
   Review the roles used in the test processes and verify that none of them are locked, expired, or have incorrect passwords. The Test Automation Tool’s Test Plan checks role status during execution, and issues with role status can halt the process.
5. Business User for Test Automation:
   Ensure that the business user maintained as "DEFAULT" in the "Maintain Roles" section is correct. This user is critical for fetching necessary data for execution. Issues with this user can cause execution to fail.
6. Test Process Pre-Check:
   If no default role is associated with the test process steps, the pre-check validation will not happen for the business user used by the Test Automation Tool's Test Plan. This may lead to failure in fetching required data and cause execution to stop.
