3557238 - Error 'WBS Element with Project Profile Overhead Project is not enabled for Project Stock' during Demand Request

Error message 'WBS Element with Project Profile Overhead Project is not enabled for Project Stock' is displayed when trying to change the Processing Status of a Demand to Requested, inside app 'Manage Project Demand'.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open app Manage Project Demand;
2. Create a Material Demand;
   • In the WBS Element field, select a WBS Element from a project with profile Overhead Project;
3. After finishing the creation, select the Demand and click on Processing Status > Request on Save;
4. The error message WBS Element with Project Profile Overhead Project is not enabled for Project Stock will be displayed.

The error message is correct.

Project Stock demands are supported only for projects with project profile Investment Project and Project with Revenue.

Although users are still able to create this type of demand selecting a project with profile Overhead Project, it is not possible to Request such demand.

A workaround for this condition would be create a project with a different profile, in order to be able to link and request the Demand as needed.
