3557386 - Sybase ASE job fails with error 'ct_connect(): protocol specific layer: external error: The attempt to connect to the server failed' - SAP Data Services 4.x

• Sybase ASE job fails with login error.

"CON-120505: Initialization Sybase connection error: <Sybase Server message number <1640> State <1> Severity <16> From Server <XX>:   Message Text is: Adaptive Server requires encryption of the login password on the network. Sybase Server message number <4002> State <1> Severity <14> From Server <GRP>:   Message Text is: Login failed. Sybase CS Library message number <67175468> Severity <4>:   Message Text is: ct_connect(): protocol specific layer: external error: The attempt to connect to the server failed.>."

• In DS Server, run command isql -Udatabaseuser -Sdatabase_sid fails with same error as above. When the command isql -Udatabaseuser -Sdatabase_sid -X is run, it will be successful.
