3557545 - Issue with Planning Run Considering Products with Excluded Planning Group ID

• Planning Run is considering products with an excluded Planning Group ID in the Planning Proposal.
• The Planning Run is set to include only items with Planning Group ID 123 (123 represents the Planning Group ID), but it is also considering items with a different Planning Group ID 098 (098 represents a different Planning Group ID).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Supply Planning work center.
2. Go to the Automated Actions view and select Planning Runs.
3. Find and select the relevant Planning Run ID.
4. Click Edit and go to the Planning Group tab.
5. Observe that the user has maintained Including with Search Pattern Equal To, the Planning Group ID From 123.
6. Navigate to the Purchase Requests and Orders work center. 
7. Go to the Purchase Orders view. 
8. Find and select the relevant Purchase Order.
9. Select the Item containing the relevant Material. If you open the Material Master and go to the Planning tab, select the relevant Planning Area, you can see the Planning Group ID maintained is 098.
10. Go back to the Purchase Order and open it in Edit Mode.
11. Go to the Items tab and select the relevant Item again.
12. Go to the sub-tab Planning.
13. You can see the documented Planning Group for the reported Material is 123.

At the creation of the Planning Proposal/Purchase Order, the Planning Group ID for the Material was indeed 123. However, changes in the Material Master show that the user frequently changes the parameters.

1. We can confirm that the system is working as designed.
2. You must therefore ensure that when executing the Run, the Materials have the correct Planning Group ID maintained.
