3557595 - How to Connect an Azure File Share to SAP Analytics Cloud?

Symptom

How to import CSV files stored in Azure storage locations into SAP Analytics Cloud?

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud.

Resolution

There is no feature available to directly consume a file share from Azure in SAP Analytics Cloud. However, as a workaround, the Azure File Share can be mounted to a Windows drive and used as a traditional file server.

Steps to Configure the File Server Connection:

  1. Create a "whitelist.txt" file on the machine where the Tomcat server is running and the SAP Analytics Cloud Agent is deployed:
-Include the full paths to the files you want to access from SAP Analytics Cloud.
-Ensure the appropriate access permissions are granted for the folder.
  2. Set the environment variable for the file server whitelist.
  3. Restart Apache Tomcat as described in the Apache Tomcat installation guide.
  4. In SAP Analytics Cloud, go to: Main Menu > System > Administration
-Enable "Allow model import from File Server" (for model imports).
-Enable "Allow model export to File Server" (for model exports).
  5. Go to Add Connection > Import Data Connection > File Server to create the connection.
