Symptom
Configured leave requests for holidays through the Absence Counting Configuration with the following setup:
- Requesting on Non-Working Days Allowed: Yes
- Duration Display According To: Deduction Quantity
- Absence Counting Configuration includes: Include Holidays
However, when creating a recurring absence, no absence is generated for the holiday. For example, if a weekly recurring absence is created from Dec 18 to Jan 1 (with Dec 25 being a holiday), absences are generated for Dec 18 and Jan 1, but not for Dec 25.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Time off.
- Click on Create Absence.
- Select the time type and start date as Dec 18th 2024.
- Select recurring absence with reoccurs weekly & end date Jan 8th 2025.
- 25th Dec is a holiday. But the absence is not created on this date even though its configured to create.
Cause
- Currently it is working as per the system design.
- With the existing system design, non-working days are filtered out for recurring absence creation. That applies to full holidays in the same way as for non-working days based on the work schedule definition.
Resolution
- Kindly create an enhancement request for full day absence creation with frequency weekly or biweekly. You can refer the KBA on creating enhancement request:2090228 - How to Submit Enhancement Requests for SAP SuccessFactors Products
- As a workaround, absences for holidays need to be created separately.
