3557929 - sp_iqtablesize shows the same size after several rows with BLOBs are deleted - SAP IQ

Symptom

  • A table has a BLOB column of long binary data type.
  • Run sp_iqtablesize on this table and record the output
  • Delete many rows from this table.
  • Rerun sp_iqtablesize on this table and notice that the output shows the same table size as before the delete.
  • Running sp_iqrebuildindex on the BLOB column doesn't reclaim much space.
