3558152 - Error in Reading Remote Object in SAP BW/4HANA due to Missing Data Source

Symptom

  • During the operation of an SAP BW/4HANA system, an error is encountered while trying to read a remote object.
  • The error message displayed is "403 - internal error: Cannot get remote source objects: [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found and no default driver specified".
  • This issue occurs when attempting to open the source in the HANA provisioning.
  • The issue started occurring after system maintenance, behaving as if the data source does not exist anymore.
