3558233 - Lack of Functionality to Assign Input Products from BOM to Activities in Migration Template of Production Models

Symptom

Product Assignment in Migration Template of Production Models.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Overview view.
  3. Find and open the Activity "Prepare for Data Migration".
  4. Select Download migration templates.
  5. Download and open the Migration template: Production Models.
  6. Observe that there is no possibility to assign Input Products from Bill of Materials to the Activities of a Bill of Operations.

Cause

The feature to assign input products from BOM to the activities of a BoO in the migration template of production models is not supported in the current SAP product.

Resolution

The feature/functionality requested is currently not part of the SAP product subscribed to. Options include:

  1. Implementing the feature/functionality into the environment by using the SAP Cloud Application Studio for custom coding.
  2. Waiting for SAP to potentially add this feature/functionality into the Standard Product.
