3558671 - Error with SharePoint and OneDrive when called by SAP GUI for Windows

Symptom

  • SharePoint or OneDrive website does not open when called from SAP GUI for Windows using HTML control class (CL_GUI_HTML_VIEWER). Issue occurs when using Internet Explorer browser control in SAP GUI Options (Interaction Design -> Control settings -> Browser Control -> Internet Explorer). 
  • The following message appear in the website:

"It's time to upgrade your browser"

"SharePoint and OneDrive use new browser technology and work best in the latest browsers."

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
