3558682 - Many Outlook Messages Shown in Web Service Message Monitoring View with "Waiting" Status

Many entries with "BusinessPartnerDataManagementContactNotificationOut" service interface are being displayed daily in the Web Service Message Monitoring view with the status as "Waiting".

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Application and User Management Work Center.
2. Go to Web Service Message Monitoring View.

Many outgoing calls with the Service Interface as “BusinessPartnerDataManagementContactNotificationOut” are displayed daily.

The system is using an older architecture for groupware (Outlook Add-in).
These calls are synch messages between the Outlook add-in and SAP Business ByDesign. However, they are in the waiting status because the Outlook Integration functionality is no longer used.

In this case, it would be required to migrate the tenant to the new groupware architecture. Therefore, for migrating the tenant to the new groupware architecture it is required to scope the question "Do you want to maintain direct responsibilities for contacts?" following the below steps:

1. Go to Business Configurations Work Center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects View.
3. Create a New Change Project or edit the scope of the First Implementation Project.
4. Go the Questions section.
5. Under Scoping Element column, expand General Business Data.
6. Expand Business Partners.
7. Select Handling of Business Partners.
8. Under “Questions for Handling of Business Partners”, scroll down to the group “Responsibilities for Contacts”.
9. Mark the question "Do you want to maintain direct responsibilities for contacts?".
10. Finish the scoping.

NOTE: If a change project was created to scope the question, the merge of the changes will be required.

After scoping the question, the outgoing calls with the Service Interface as "BusinessPartnerDataManagementContactNotificationOut" will not be created anymore.
