3558872 - Unable to delete effective date record of Benefit configured in Benefits Admin Overview

Unable to delete effective date of the Benefits configurations setup under Benefits Admin Overview, even though all existing pending workflows had been completed.The system displaying an error message: "You cannot delete or deactivate the benefit because there are existing claims for the benefit. Delete the claims and try again."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Global Benefits

1. Log in to SF instance.
2. Navigate to Benefits Admin Overview.
3. Select any Benefit -> Take Action -> Permanently delete effective dated record.
4. Error:
   "You cannot delete or deactivate the benefit because there are existing claims for the benefit. Delete the claims and try again."

The issue is caused due to existing claims for this benefit in the system.
