3558873 - "Custom field could not be updated" when disabling usage

Symptom

In the "Custom Fields" fiori app, a certain usage is disabled for a given Custom Field. Upon saving, an error is shown:

Custom Field <Custom field name> could not be updated.

In transaction SCFD_LOG, for the affected custom field, in the "Exception Stack" section, an entry is written:

CX_CFD_FIELD    CL_CFD_FIELD    IF_CFD_FIELD_UPDATE~REMOVE_CDS_VIEW_CONTEXT    Custom Field <Custom Field name> could not be updated.
