3558880 - Error during delivery update when accepting deviation and rejecting open quantity in Outbound Logistics

You are trying to perform Post Goods Issue. However, system is returning an error when you use the option "Accept Deviation and Reject Open Quantity" for an Item you cannot deliver. The system is returning the following error messages: 

• Error during delivery update
• Quantity deviation accepted
• Save failed

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Go to the Monitoring: Work view.
3. Locate the pending Deviation for the relevant Sales Order Item.
4. Click "Accept Deviation and Reject Open Quantity".
5. Observe the system returning the messages mentioned above.

During the debug, we found that the system was giving a dump because the identified stock is obsolete. When checking on the UI, on opening the warehouse Order, selecting the row with the deviation and then clicking on Accept deviation, the system was giving the following error: "You cannot assign identified stock ABC (ABC represent the Identified Stock ID) as it cannot be used in its current status Obsolete. For inbound deliveries, the status of the identified stock must be Active or Blocked. For outbound deliveries, the status must be Active."

We recommend you to make the necessary change so that you can consume the Identified Stock and post the Goods Issue.
