3558922 - Skills & Competencies Not Appearing in Growth Portfolio when mapped to the family

Symptom

  • Skills that are assigned to a family are not appearing in the Growth Portfolio.
  • When the Growth Portfolio is accessed, the message "You have not added skills. Click on 'add' to start" is displayed, despite there being skills assigned to the family and role.

Reproducing the Issue

Map skills & competencies to the family
Check on the roles that are contained within the family and see these skills & competencies are mapped to the role
Now check the growth Portfolio of a user who has the role mapped to them
See that the skills & competencies are not pulled into the Growth Portfolio

Cause

The issue is a known limitation where skills added to a family first do not update the Growth Portfolio.

Resolution

The solution to this issue is currently under investigation. Please follow this KBA for updates.

Workaround: Map the skills & competencies to the role first and not the family
