3559079 - Unable to Delete Attachments in Inspection View After Decision Made

Symptom

The system does not allow the deletion of attachments after a decision has been made.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Quality Control work center.
  2. Proceed to the Inspection View.
  3. Search for inspection XYZ (XYZ means inspection ID).
  4. Go to the Miscellaneous tab and check the Attachments sub-tab.
  5. Notice the delete button is greyed out.

Cause

The system does not allow the deletion of any attachment once a decision has been made.

Resolution

If the decision has been made, the system does not allow the addition or deletion of any attachments, it is necessary to Change Status and select Revoke Decision. After revoking the decision, the system will allow the addition or deletion of attachments and then the decision can be made again.
